Meet Our Founder
EC Teh & Co. was founded in July 2023 by Mr. Teh, a seasoned civil litigator with active legal practice since 2017. He commenced his pupillage in November 2016 at Joseph Ting & Co., and later joined Gan SL & Associates as a Litigation Partner in 2022, before establishing his own firm.
Mr. Teh has handled a broad spectrum of contentious matters, including debt recovery, tenancy disputes, unfair dismissal claims, construction and shareholders’ disputes, family law, defamation, conspiracy, strata management, and estate administration. He has acted as lead and co-counsel in numerous hearings and full trials across all levels of the Malaysian Courts, as well as in arbitration and tribunal proceedings.
Further, Mr. Teh has expanded his practice to encompass corporate and commercial advisory, business agreement drafting, and conveyancing matters, offering clients holistic legal support beyond dispute resolution.
He regularly advises a diverse clientele comprising prominent property developers in the Klang Valley, multinational corporations, health and wellness service providers, start-ups, and private individuals. Mr. Teh also conducts legal seminars and training sessions for corporations and professional bodies.
Recognised for his proactive, hands-on approach, Mr. Teh combines legal acumen with practical insight—delivering commercially sound solutions that protect and advance his clients’ interests.
Beginning from year 2025, Mr Teh has successfully obtained the HRD Corporation accreditation for Train-The-Trainer (TTT) and has conducted seminars on legal topics to corporations and professional associations.

Proven Legal Achievements
Over the years, Mr. Teh has acted in a wide range of disputes, transactions, and advisory matters at all levels of the Malaysian Courts and tribunals. These notable engagements showcase his experience in advancing client interests, resolving conflicts, and navigating legal complexities with strategic insight.
Represented a former director up to the Federal Court in a corporate dispute involving alleged fiduciary breaches and conspiracy relating to unauthorised transactions exceeding RM7 million and 8 properties.
Acted for a listed developer in numerous construction disputes across various forums, including Court, CIPAA proceedings and the Institute of Engineers Malaysia (IEM).
Successfully recovered sums exceeding RM2 million on behalf of a contractor for works carried out in international school construction project in Johor Bahru.
Represented owners of stratified properties in an action against the Joint Management Body for abuse of power and misappropriation of funds exceeding RM200,000.00.
Secured an amicable settlement for a wife in contested single divorce petition, involving am existing Court order on interim custody and past incidents of domestic violence.
Conducted eviction proceedings against defaulting tenants across various premises, including office units, restaurants and the largest shopping mall in Malaysia
Drafted Shareholders’ Agreements and Investment Agreements for a senior care service provider and a start-up Pilates fitness centre, both operating multiple branches.
Prepared a Tenancy Agreement for multiple units in a premier office building in Kuala Lumpur for the establishment of a foreign embassy in Malaysia.
Introducing Our Legal Associate
Ms. Kavishree A/P Thiyaga Rajan obtained her LL.B (Hons) from the University of Leicester in 2020 and subsequently completed the Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) in 2022. She completed her pupillage in December 2023 and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on 16 February 2024.
Ms. Kavishree joined EC Teh & Co. in April 2024 as a Legal Associate. She works closely with Mr. Teh across a broad range of matters, including civil litigation, corporate advisory, and conveyancing. Her primary areas of practice encompass family law, employment disputes, debt recovery actions, estate administration, and other non-contentious matters.
Known for her dedication, attention to detail, and professional responsiveness, Ms. Kavishree is committed to delivering precise and timely legal support. Her disciplined approach and commitment to continuous learning make her a valued member of the firm and a reliable point of contact for clients.
